The East Anglian Greyhound Derby is one of the greyhound events that have got more and more popular over the years, and this year sees plenty of greyhounds taking part in it, but there are none that are schooled to run that I would stand out as being the odds-on favourite to win at this early stage.
Monday night is when the heats are starting, and whilst you can of course bet on any greyhounds running in any heat, there is some truly overly generous odds available on the ante post betting markets, and as such that is what I want to take a look at today.
It is of course always going to be down to just which betting site you choose to place your bets and wagers at, as to whether you are going to get some low odds, fair odds or some rather generous odds, and when it comes to the later I need you to know about the Bruce Betting site.
That betting site really has pushed the boat out regarding the odds listed on the ante post betting market for the East Anglian Greyhound Derby, and below I will let you know where the smart money is going on the outright winner betting market.
Betting on the Favourites
King Elvis at 7/2 is the current favourite to win, however that greyhound is by no stretch of the imagination a red hot favourite and as such it could be worth opposing it with something like the current second favourite that being Kilmore Lemon at 5/1.
The third and fourth favourites may also be worth looking at and studying the form of for with those greyhounds being Droopys Steel at 6/1 and Dog Mac Arthure at 8/1 if you have seen how they have run in the past you will not need me to tell you just how good their chances are of winning this derby outright!
Outsider That May Just Come Out on Top
I think is fair to say that greyhounds such as Security, Collswood Hawk along with Exiles Gift have very little chance of winning this year for if they did there would be no way in the world that Bruce Betting bout have them all on offer at odds of! 100/1
Bubbly Bluebird at 10/1 and Affane Party also on offer at 10/1 do look fair bets, but however do keep in mind that Bruce Betting will of course all you to bet on any of the greyhounds on their ante post betting market each-way, and will be going four places at one quarter of the win odds on such bets.
That does of course mean that there are several other greyhounds that do come into the reckoning, and several of them have a good chance of getting placed and a few to consider include Tea For Tess at 14/1,Seaglass Phantom at 16/1 and possibly Whiteys Rocket at 33/1 too, but its up to you of course whether you do bet to win or each-way or even not at all on this greyhound derby!
