It has certainly been one of the most unusual World Cup tournaments this year, and the fun and games isn’t over yet for this Tuesday and Wednesday we see the final four teams being cut down to just two, both of whom will of course then go forward to the final match.
As for who is going to win the World Cup this year, well we are going to have to wait and see, but if you do fancy betting on any of the four teams still in it then now will be the best time to bet on your chosen team as the odds will drop on those final two teams once the results of the Semi Finals are known.
The current favourite, which to be fair are not attracting large swathes of cash being placed on them are France and their win odds are 2/1, it is England that you will probably want to win and if you have the faith in their young squad then you should be securing their current odds of 5/2 that sites such as Betfred are offering.
As to whether Belgium or Croatia can win the World Cup this year, anything is possible and with odds of 11/4 on a Belgium win and with Croatia being on offer at odds of 4/1, it does look too close to call as to just which team will take the trophy home with them!
Semi Final Matches
Cast your eyes over the Semi Final betting markets if you do fancy a couple of bets this week on those matches, for on the Tuesday the 10th of July 2018 You can bet on France or Belgium to win or the match to end in a draw after 90 minutes of play, and the odds associated with each of those possible outcomes are 6/4, 21/10 and 11/5 respectively!
Then on Tuesday it is the turn of Croatia and England to battle it out on the pitch and Croatia are available at odds of 12/5, the draw after 90 minutes of play is 11/5 and an England win can be had at odds of 11/8!
Name the Top Goal Scorer
If you take Harry Kane out of the betting on the top goal scorer betting market there are some rather juicy odds on offer on all other players that are in with a chance of winning the Golden Boot.
However, as he is 1/7 to win that award and as there is very little chance any player can overtake him regarding the number of goals he has so far scored, you will be playing a high risk game if you do back any of those other players.
However, many people will be tempted to do so and one player that has an excellent chance of beating Kane, albeit with plenty of luck is Romelu Lukaku who odds on winning the Golden Boot are 8/1.
Antoine Griezmann is 16/1 to win the Golden Boot and if you are prepared to throw caution to the win and bet on Kylian Mbappe, or Den Hazard you will get odds of 20/1 and 50/1 on them respectively over at Betfred!
