There are of course plenty of major flat races that are run throughout July in the UK, and one that you may just be looking forward to is the July Cup.
This is a race that really does take some winning, and unlike previous years there is currently no one horses that is a red-hot favourite to win it, so there is plenty of value to be had if you do decide to make use of the early betting markets.
It is at betting sites such as Bruce Betting that I would always advise you to check out the early prices and ante post odds on any race you do fancy betting on, for they do tend to offer some enhanced odds on such races.
Regarding the horses that are currently attracting the most money on this year’s July Cup, it is Blue Point that is pencilled in as the early favourite at odds of7/2, however both U S Navy Flag and Harry Angel are not far behind that horse regarding their odds and you can back them both right now at 6/1.
Sites like Bruce Betting are going one fifth the odds on each-way bets for the first, second and third placed horses in this race so an each-way bet may be one worth placing.
Horses with an Outside Chance of Winning the July Cup in 2018
Two horses that I do like the look of from a betting point of view are Eqtidaar at 8/1 along with Sands of Mali at 10/1, as both of them do have the form required to win a race of this nature and one of them may just do at those much higher odds.
There are plenty of other horses that could come up trumps and they include Limato and Redkirk Warrior both on offer at 12/1, Dreamfield and Brando look value bets at 14/1 and Sioux Nation is in with a chance of winning at huge odds of 20/1 too.
Outsiders and No Hopers
The horses that you are probably best leaving alone on the betting markets include Projection, Invincible Army and Gustav Klimt all on offer at 25/1 and with odds of 33/1 on the likes of Sir Dancealot, Raid, Battle of Jericho and Could It Be Love it will be something of a miracle if any of them win too.
Big odds are available on Barraquero, Dream Of Dreams, Murillo, Spirit Of Valor, Fleet Review, St Patricks Day and Different League and if you are quick you can back Declaration of peace, Washington Dc and Dutch Connection at 50/1, but their odds do represent their chances of winning the July Cup which are of course slim!
The complete outsiders though and the horses that not many people are backing to win this race are Intelligence Cross, Unfortunately and Actress but if you are of the mind that one of those three horses are going to win the July Cup this year then the ante post betting markets are where you are heading to be able to secure odds of 66/1 on each of them!
