You do have an abundance of betting opportunities available to you today, with the final of the FIFA World Cup being played today and some much see Wimbledon tennis matches also scheduled today you may find there are way too many bets you can place than you have cash to bet on them with!
However, it is also stage 9 of the Tour de France that is being staged today, and that stage if quite comically known as there King of the Cobbles stage, and it is going to take quite some rider to negotiate that course and win that stage for sure.
As for where the smart money is going, well a quick look at the betting markets at most if not all betting sites or betting apps will very clearly show to you that Peter Sagan is having some fairly large bets placed on him and that has resulted in him not only being the firm favourite to win stage 9 but his odds have dropped down to just 9/4!
There are two other riders however that are having plenty of bets placed on them to win this stage of the Tour de France, and they are Niki Terpstra whose current odds are 6/1 and Philippe Gilbert at 7/1.
Riders with a Fair Chance of Winning
If like me though, you think that anything may just happen in this race today, due in no uncertain terms due to the challenging nature of the course, then it may just pay dividends for you o back some of the other riders that have mid-ranged odds associated with them winning.
Tow riders that do spring to mind are Edvald Boasson Hagen and Alexander Kristoff and by getting your bets on quickly you should quick easily be able to secure odds of 28/1 on both of them, but also consider the chances of riders such as Bob Jungels for his odds are very appealing at 33/1!
Huge Odds Available on Some Riders
I have seen some riders that will be taking part in stage 9 of the Tour de France being on offer at some betting sites with odds of 750/ and in some cases some riders can be bet on at odds of 1000/1 too.
However, most of those odds are going to be very quickly snapped up, and it will probably be the case the rank outsiders to win are going to be generally on offer at 500/a sooner rather than later.
Some of the riders that I have come across today that are on offer at odds of 500/1 at Betfred for example include Luke Durbridge, Lukas Postlberger, Tim Declercq, Tony Gallopin, Daryl Impey, Daryl and both Thomas De Gendt, Thomas and Thomas Boudat.
But if you are planning on betting on any of the outsiders, you are probably going to get offered much better and higher odds on the Betfair betting change, for you will be offered those odds from other punters, and the users of Betfair do usually over much higher odds on events such as this one too.
