It was in 1975 that the very first running of the Brighton Belle greyhound final was held at the Brighton and Hove Greyhound Stadium, and each year that has ticked by since it has been Coral that has sponsored that event, as is the case on tonight’s running of the race.
There has of course been plenty of favourites winning over the years, and some complete outsiders have also managed to win it over the decades too, and the race is run over the 515 track which is a sand track for reference.
Quite a lot of betting sites are going to be offering you live odds as the starting time of that race approaches, however if you do fancy betting early then make sure you get on over to the Paddy Power sportsbooks, for they have had an ante post betting market open on that race for quite some time now.
Having looked over that ante post betting market and also having compared the odds they are offering on each of the greyhounds I have found their odds to be some of the highest in the industry, as too are their each-way betting terms which are offering one quarter of the win odds on the first and second placed finishers are also generous too.
Donation and Ballymac Miscula Head the Betting
Having originally been offered at odds of 7/4 then as the odds have since dropped down to 10/11 then to 4/6 it is very safe and true to say that Donation is one greyhound that most punters think is going to win that race.
There has also been some very large amounts of cash also bet on Ballymac Miscula whose odds have dropped won from 7/1 then to 6/1 and 5/1 and are now fairly stable at 5/2, however whether they will stay at 5/2 does remain to be seen so do place your bets on that greyhound right now if you want to ensure you can get the current highest possible odds at Paddy Power!
Rackethall Jess is the next greyhound listed on the Paddy Power ante post betting market for the Brighton Belle race, and having started out at 10/1 then dropped down to 7/1 then 11/2 its odds have bounced back up to 7/1, so it would appear a handful of punters do think that greyhound has what it takes to win this race, whether or not it will do we will find out later this evening of course!
Dodgers Drum is not without its chance, but I think they only way it is going to win this race is if it gets out in front and there is trouble behind, and its odds if you do think it will win are high at 10/1.
The two other greyhound that doesn’t look like they are going to get a look-in in this race are Barricane Carina who is solid at 14/1 and then there is the complete outsider and that is Cooly Bonita who can be backed at odds as high as 25/1!
